CANADA- august 2011

Canada is my most favorite favorite vacation. Such a great place to be with family and the kids. So kid friendly, it makes parents job easy. Bike rides, hikes, ice cream, games, walks through the town, boat rides on the lake, picnics, running (for me ;)), candy shops, horse back riding, lemonade selling, and the best of all a whole lot of cousin/family time. So heres to being "better late then never".... We cant wait for next years trip!

We painted boats and then road up the lake in the real boat to send them down a little river into the lake. Lets just say the painting was way better then the sailing.... they were a flop in the water but so fun to decorate, and the kids love a good boat ride!

BBQ at cameron falls. Hot dogs, and smores. This year the kids and josh and steve actually went swimming in the river. CRAZIES. no it is not warm, Hudson sure loved his marshmallow if you cant tell.

We go for Ice cream every night. its a must

The girls loved selling lemonade. They would make like 30 bucks a day. I think i should start putting hudson out on the streets to sell lemonade ;).

Bears Hump is a quick fun hike we do every year. I absolutely love it. The view when you get to the top is the town that our cabin is in. Waterton Park.

We got kites and decorated and flew them, never question mom and dads kite making skills ;). Mom knew exactly how those kites went together. The kites flew really really good, and were so much fun! they flew much better then the boats floated thats for sure.
Bruce (a good friend in canada who built our cabin) is always kind enough to let us come ride his horses. Him and his sweet wife made us a yummy dinner and the kids always have a blast riding the horses. They could have stayed there for days.

The summit hike! Amy, Tyler, Steve, Dad, Jordan and I went on this hike. We did it in record time... i think like 4 hours? i forget. When we got there, there was a sign "cougar in area" yes i was afraid i wouldnt ever see hudson again. We have seen bears on this hike, which is no biggie, but a cougar!? i will pass on that. thankfully we never ran into the cougar ;). This is my favorite hike in Canada though, i absolutely love it. This year there was lots of snow on the hike, which was kinda fun slippin down.
