valentines

anyone knows im the biggest holiday person. Every holiday is always decorated for at my house. I always get the comments "i love your valentines stuff, i have zero valentines decorations"... so here is my valentines decorating 101. Its simple really. With decorations i dont really like lots of clutter, just a few cute simple things to brighten the house during whichever holiday it is, except christmas go all out for that my friends! I wish i had a picture of my dalring wreath on my front door but i dont. So here it is, most all my v-day decorations are made, althought this season i do have my eye on some things at pbkids.... but most are made. 1. always have a cute wreath for each holiday. This valentines i made really cute red burlap wreaths, they still need some big pink bows on them, pictures to come. Last season i made a rosette vday wreath that i absolutly love. 2. you always need a cute garland! its a must. My valentines one is probably the easiest garland ever, i took felt, cut hearts out of them and strung some twine through them. 3. my all time favortie thing for every single holiday... candy in glass jars! heres my secret, i save my candy for each holiday, its candy my friends. it has no substance, it lasts. unless its something like chocolate, in that case i ditch them. But my valentine red hots and conversation hearts are pron going on 3 years, and guess what... they taste and look fab.4. add the holiday colors around the house whether is be through signs, or lanterns. my sister in law made me the cutest "be mine" sign from vinyl and wood. I got my "xo" at joanns and painted them pink and red 5. Subway art, the girls at eighteen25 have one for every holiday, send that baby right into costoco. Bam theres your beautiful holiday house. Every year i usually make something new... so by the time im older ill have a lot more, but remember with holiday decor, less is more. Especially for spring/summer holidays, i like a crisp clean looking spring house. Happy crafting. or buying.
