Spinach Shake






I have had some people asking me what i put in my spinach shakes. When i got a vitamix i started obsessing over spinach shakes, honestly they start the day off right. Hudson and I always drink them in the morning with a piece of alpine valley toast{this bread is our FAVORITE, you can buy it at costco, you will never buy anytihing else again..unless you are white bread people, we definately are not} Even my husband who was raised on white said to me "man im glad you got me hooked on this". Its fresh healthy and delicious. Sometimes Hudson and I dont make our shakes in the morning but we always have it for one of our meals, why? Because we love them. Honestly i have made them lots and lots of ways, here is the way i make it most. Oh and side note, i buy my spinach at costco and all my produce. We stick to blueberries, strawberries, and bananas. I cut the bananas in halves and the strawberries put them in ziplocks {along with the blueberries} and freeze them, this way you dont have to use ice.
Spinach Shake:
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
half of a frozen banana
handful of blueberries or strawberries (we switch off)
Large handful of spinach
scoop of V-shape protien mix{I dont know where you can buy this but its fabulous and filled with vitamins}
tbsp of flax {we get ours at costco}
Be warned that the berries can make it look blackish... but dont let that color fool you, as you can tell from the pictures even Hudson is obsessed! happy shakin!
